Commandaria
Commandaria is an ancient, sweet dessert wine from Cyprus, made from sun-dried Xynisteri and Mavro grapes. Historically, Commandaria dates back to the 12th century and is named after the administrative headquarters of first the Knights Templar and later the Knights Hospitaller, which were known as La Grande Commanderie. Thus, Commandaria holds the distinction of being the world’s oldest named wine still in production. Platanis Commandaria tastes rich and sweet. It has a luscious, syrupy texture, with aromas of dried fruits like raisins and figs, as well as notes of caramel, and molasses. It is available at 15% ABV.
The famous Commandaria wine is available in a convenient gift size of 50ml and 100ml.
